I teach my students using American Sign Language. This is most often their first language. I use many supports to help my students learn and use sign language. This man Rob Nielson, is Deaf and teaches American Sign Language classess. He has a youtube channel with MANY videos specifically designed with the beginning signer in mind. I show his videos often in my class. It is fun for my students to experience other signers.

I remember when I first started teaching, I would teach my kiddos the alphabet each year. I don't seem to have time for that anymore. But what fun they have.
