Happy Thanksgiving! and a WINNER!

I am linking up with Five for Friday

ONE
Happy Thanksgiving!
We are lucky enough to have next week off, so we celebrated yesterday.
We had a big feast.  Each class was assigned to be either pilgrims or Indians and we each brought a food item to share at the feast.

Here are some of my little Indians on their way to feast.
TWO
Decorations

My students were in charge of the decorations.  I got the pattern from Pinterest from kindergartenmonkeybusiness.blogspot.  and then incorporated the paper bags so some of them could sit on the tables as centerpieces. They turned out so cute!

THREE
Our Food

Anyone who knows me, knows that I HATE to cook.  I know, I know, but I am lucky  enough to have a husband who LOVES cooking, so, in my family it works out!
So, my students’ food contribution was a fun veggie cup. (another great idea from Pinterest.  The link I pinned from was catchmyparty.com) I cut out the Turkeys and glued them to the plastic cups and the students filled the “turkey feathers” with celery and carrots.
FOUR

THE FEAST!
This little pilgrim’s hat was getting in way, so he turned it around!  LOL

I love this picture!  We were having a hard time getting her Cochlear Implant to stay on with her hat.  She put the hat on, and then just connected over the hat!  Innovation!
FIVE
AND A WINNER!
