THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!!!!! As always I am excited, a little nervous, and not nearly ready enough to begin this exciting journey again. 🙂 Our school does this amazing thing on the first day of school. Because our students come to us from all over the state, parents rarely get opportunities to visit our school. So, we BUS THEM ALL IN on the first day of school. Students, parents, siblings etc. arrive just before noon and join us, hard working teachers, for lunch, then a fun pep rally, a school tour and time in the classroom. It has been a huge success and I am so happy for this time to meet parents and welcome their students to my class.
I will publish pictures of my newly decorated classroom tomorrow hopefully with some fresh student/parent artwork.
